Former Band Member: Steve Barnhill, Bass Trombone |
Steve was born in San Jose. He graduated from Independence High School 1979, and San Jose State University in 1983, with a BA in Performance. He's been a freelance bass trombonist since 1980 with numerous recording sessions and performances. Steve has been a member of both the Dave Eshelman Jazz Garden Big Band and the Ray Brown Great Big Band since 1994, and the Director of Bands and the Performing Arts Department Chairman at William C. Overfelt High School in San Jose, since 1984. Steve is also the coordinator for the Performing Arts for the East Side Union High School District since 1997, and conductor of the Ohlone College Community Band since 1997.
